Times tables
Please learn all 4 times tables up to 12 x 4. To challenge your child, they could try recalling the related division facts. E.g. 12 ÷ 4 = 3 They could then recall the multiplication and division fact families for each times table.
Remember to use Purple Mash games and activities to support this.
Maths
This week in maths, we will be adding two 3-digit numbers. Next week, we will subtract a 3-digit number from a 3-digit number, starting off with no exchanges and moving on to an exchange.
Literacy
In literacy, we will be moving on to writing an adventure narrative based on the children’s learning about the Stone Age. We will read the story Stone Age Boy to inspire us.
RE
In RE, we will be learning about when Mary had to tell her good news to Elizabeth.
PSHE
This week we have completed activities around Odd Socks Day as well as learning about road safety for Road Safety Week. We will continue the week looking at what bullying is and how to be a good friend.
Computing
The children will use the computers to recreate their information books about the Stone Age.
Nativity
We have attached the song Wise Men From Lands Afar, which the children have been practising for our Nativity, if they would like to practise this at home.
Kind regards,
Year 3 Team
