
Spellings: homophones: when practising, make sure that your child knows the meaning of the different spellings for each homophone.
Times tables
Please continue practise 3 times tables. Remember, Purple Mash games are great for this. To challenge your child, they could try recalling the related division facts. E.g. 12 ÷ 2 = 6 They could then recall the multiplication and division fact families for each times table.
E.g. 6 x 2 = 12, 2 x 6 = 12, 12 ÷ 2 = 6, 12 ÷ 6 = 2

Maths
This week in maths we are adding and subtracting 3-digit and 2-digit numbers. Next week, we will be adding and subtracting two 3-digit numbers.
Literacy
In literacy, we will be writing information books about the Stone Age using information the children will have discovered on the trip next week.
RE
In RE this week, we will be learning about Diwali. Next week, we will learn that God chose Mary to be the mother of His Son and explain the importance of being chosen.
PSHE
In PSHE next week, we will look at why and how rules and laws protect themselves and others.
History
This week, the children started their new topic Tribal Tales by comparing their lives to the lives of people in the Stone Age. Next week, they will compare the settlements and tools from the early Stone Age to Iron Age.
