Dear Parents,
Please find below your child’s learning and home learning below.
Maths: Year 4 will be learning to add and subtract three and four digit numbers.
English: Next week Year 4 will be finishing their Roman topic by creating their own banquet invitation. The children will be learning about key vocabulary and how to lay out their invitations formally.
RHE/PSHE: Year 4 will be learning about discrimination and how to challenge it. That friendships change over time, including making new friends and having different types of friends. They will also learn that people feel included within healthy friendships; recognise when others may feel lonely or excluded.
RE: Year 4 will be learning to know that God speaks to us in the Bible.
Design & Technology: The children will be designing and creating their own Roman shield.
We kindly ask that if you have any cardboard to donate, this will greatly help us to create our project. Please bring in any donations by the 20th October.
Home Learning:
Spellings: To revisit and learn Year 3 and 4 common exception words.

Please know that your child will be taught these spellings throughout the week and that the spelling assessment takes place on a Mondays.
Times tables: Please continue to revisit previously learnt times tables. This week’s focus is the 7 times tables: 1×7 through to 6×7.
