Dear parents,
This week in literacy we have been writing about our real-life experiences from our seaside trip and we have been learning about how a story is structured, by talking about story mountains.
In Maths we have begun learning how to read numerals and words up to 100 and we have been trying to represent numbers up to 100 in a variety of different ways.
In science we have been learning about what a habitat is and we have been looking at the plants and animals found in the woodland in school.
Home Learning – For home learning please help your child to learn the following words:
do
ask
friend
today
floor
hold
path
busy
They will be tested next Wednesday. Please also complete the Maths activity, which has been set for your child on Purple Mash
Please make sure to listen to your child read every day and sign their reading record. Please remember to send your child into school every day with their reading record and home school book. They only need to bring in their library books on Fridays.
Some of you asked in our curriculum meeting about where to find SATs papers. These can be found here.
If you missed our curriculum meeting, the slides can be found on the school website.
If your child has a cold, we would appreciate it if you could send them in with a box of tissues for our classroom.
Thank you for your support.
Best wishes,
Mrs. Whyatt and Miss Fielden
