Dear Parents,
We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to the synagogue on Tuesday. Our host, Shoshana, taught us so much about the Jewish religion and life as a Jewish person. The children especially enjoyed seeing the collection of Torahs at the front of the room of worship.
Next week:
In Maths, we will start a unit on measures and converting measures.
In English, we will start a new unit on writing science fiction stories.
In RE, we will start to find out about Islam.
In PSHE/RHE, we will be learning some basic first aid.
Please do remember to send in a bag of flour on Monday 5th July as we will be using it for a science experiment on Tuesday.
Spelling, times tables and book challenge
Thank you to all the parents who have been in contact with us this week with lists of books that the children have read at home but haven’t told us about! This is especially helpful for us, so that we can encourage the children to tick off on the book tracker list. If you know that your child is reluctant to talk to the teacher about what they have been reading at home, please do email a list to office@stcatherines.barnetmail.net and this will be forwarded to the class teacher.
Times tables – every day.
Spellings to learn:
cereal/serial
father/farther
guessed/guest
morning/mourning
who’s/whose
Enjoy your weekends.
