Dear Parents
We are continuing to enjoy our Stargazers topic and this week we started reading our new yeargroup text, Cosmic, which we are all finding very amusing. We also recapped and revised the learning that we have done so far this year on internet safety. It was great to hear the children being able to offer so much advice about what to do to stay safe online.
Next week:
In Maths, we will finish our unit on position and direction.
In English, we will write newspaper articles about the moon landing
In RE, we will visit the synagogue on Tuesday (please contact school if you are able to accompany) and then learn in more depth about some of the beliefs and traditions of Judaism.
For our science lessons w/c. 5th July, the children will each need to bring a bag of flour. Children can start to bring these in from Monday to keep in school, but we will need them on w/c 5th July.
The homophone spellings to learn at home this weekend are:
aisle/isle/I’ll
allowed/aloud
affect/effect
heard/herd
past/passed
Please continue times tables revision. For extra coordinates practise, use any of the levels on here: https://www.transum.org/Maths/Activity/Coordinates/Default.asp?Level=1
Enjoy your weekends,
Year 5 team
