Dear parents/carers,
We have had another fantastic week of learning and the children have all enjoyed our learning about our topic ‘Blood Heart’. Next week we will be having our unofficial ‘official’ SATs week! The children will be completing an arithmetic paper, 2 maths reasoning papers, a reading paper, a grammar paper and a spelling paper.
The learning for next week is:
English: Writing a biography about Dr William Harvey
Maths: Volume counting cubes, volume of a cuboid
RE: To know and reflect on some of the different ways that we can serve God
Guided Reading: Linked to our class novel ‘Pig Heart Boy’ with a focus on describing and predicting
Spelling: Year 5/6 statutory word list: competition, conscience, conscious, controversy, convenience, correspond, criticise, curiosity, definite, desperate
Please can you ensure that you are aware of the activities taking place on the ‘Year 6 activity week’ and that you have read and responded to all letters and information sent out.
