This half term, Year 3 have been researching and exploring the different parts of volcanoes and understanding why we have natural disasters such as earthquakes in our world. The children have been busy designing and making their own volcanoes using papier-mâché to make a strong structure. The structures were then painted and decorated with volcanic colours. This week, the children had great fun when they made their volcanoes erupt, using bicarbonate of soda, food colouring and vinegar! What an amazing project – well done Year 3!
