Area of Maths: Fractions (including decimals and percentages)
Skill: Add and Subtract fractions with different denominators and mixed numbers, using the concept of equivalent fractions
This was the first time in Year 6 that we have focussed on this area of Maths. We played three different games: Middle for Money, Catch and Calculate and Sum Snakes. We had fun taking on the role of the teacher and encouraging our house team to work cooperatively together. We also were able to correct misconceptions that arose.
