This week the Nursery children have been playing a game called musical body parts and also took part in an explorers walk. In the game musical body parts, the children were challenged to count the number of a specific body parts in a group. For example children danced along to music and when the music stopped, children gathered into groups. Children were then instructed to count how many different body parts were in the group, for example, the number of noses or tummies. On the explorers walk the children had to find and count a number of objects that were hidden in the playground. The children loved taking part in these activities and we are looking forward to playing even more maths games this year!
