Dear parents/carers,
This week the children have enjoyed writing in role as Stanley from the novel Holes and they have enjoyed implementing their inference skills during guided reading.
Next week the learning is:
English: Focus on the book Holes and evaluating characters. Writing a letter/invitation in role as Stanley
Maths: Multiplication (4×1 digit, 2×2 digits, 3×2 digits, 4 x1 digit and 4×2 digits)
PSHE: TenTen- Calming the Storm gospel. Will focus on how we are all created individually by God who cares for us and wants us to put our faith in him. Physically coming an adult is a natural phase of life and sometimes it might feel confusing but it is all part of God’s great plan and the results will be worth it
Science: Light and Shadows
RE: We are learning that Jesus’ miracles reflected the beginning of the Kingdom and show us what God is like
Guided Reading: Focus on retrieval and inference
Spellings: Homophones focus- sea, see, advice, advise, device, devise, practice, practise, licence and license
