In Year 4, we have been learning how to draw sketch maps of the local area using Ordnance Survey symbols and a key. We looked at google earth to see a birds eye view of the local area and then saw how this translated on to an Ordnance Survey map. We noted some of the important features of a map (such as a title, key, north arrow and note that it is not scale) and included these in our maps too.
