Dear parents/carers,
This week the children have really enjoyed starting our new class novel ‘Holes’. They have also really enjoyed investigating light and how it travels. Please can you remember that your child must bring in a cereal box to make their periscope next week- thank you to those who have already brought it in.
The learning for next week is:
English: Write in role as a character from Holes. Explore thoughts and feelings of characters through drama-related activities.
Maths: Rounding numbers up to 10 million and negative numbers.
Science: Understanding how mirrors reflect light and how they help us see objects (we will be making a periscope).
RE: Recognise that everyone is called to enter the Kingdom of God and explain and evaluate our purpose.
PSHE: Think about he feelings and common anxieties pupils face when moving to secondary school and ways of managing these feelings.
Geography: Compare and contrast the physical characteristics of two locations.
Spellings: We will be repeating the same spellings as last week to ensure the children have a solid understanding, they are:
Horrible
Adorable
Terrible
Forgivable
Possible
Disposable
Edible
Enjoyable
Reversible
Valuable
Invincible
Breakable
Legible
Identifiable
Thank you for your continued support,
