Dear Parents/carers,
The children have had an excellent week in school and we have been very impressed with both their work and attitude to learning.
This week we have enjoyed writing poetry about our book focus ‘Here We Are’ and the children have enjoyed investigating about light in Science.
The learning for next week is:

English: Beginning our topic of Hola Mexico- our book focus will be Holes
Science: To understand how mirrors reflect light
RE: Learning to reflect on what the kingdom of God is like
PE: CT- Tennis Mr Reilly- Dance
PSHE: How feelings and emotions are affected and how they can be managed at difficult times
Spellings: Focus- ible/able words- Horrible, terrible, possible, edible, reversible, invincible, legible, adorable, forgivable. disposable, enjoyable, valuable, breakable, identifiable. (The spelling test will take place next Friday).
We hope that you found the curriculum meeting useful, if you were unable to make it today, the powerpoint will be on the website once all the curriculum meetings have taken place. Here is a Maths website that we think will be useful for you- www.mathsbot.com.
Remember, your child still has access to PurpleMash and we would encourage to use this to support their learning at home.
Just a reminder, to access the Maths games your child will need to login > ensure they are on the home page > click the games icon (snake with a red ball) > all of the games are there.
To access additional spellings, your child will need to type the word ‘spelling’ (not spellings) into the search bar where you will be able to click on the relevant year group. Remember, the spellings we have given you today should take priority but it will be beneficial to have a go at these spellings too.
Thank you for your continued support,
Miss Sonenfeld and Miss Sykes
