This week the children have been discussing the importance of looking after your mental health. We discussed the importance of physical activity, having a healthy diet and speaking openly to friends, family and people you trust. The children thought about ways in which they could express how they were feeling such as writing their thoughts in a diary. The class were then given the opportunity to work in small groups to create a positive song about ‘finding your brave’.
This was a very positive experience where the children were able to work collaboratively, have fun and discuss important and relevant issues.
