This week in literacy/topic the children have been learning about some famous Ancient Greeks, such as Alexander the Great and Pythagoras. Later on this week, we will be looking at the Greek myth of Theseus and the minotaur and the children will be writing a diary entry pretending they are Theseus. In Maths the children have been consolidating their knowledge of dividing a 2-digit number by a 1-digit number and will be learning how to divide with remainders. In R.E the children will be looking at the story of the Lost Sheep and learning about God’s love for us. In PSHE the children have been learning about what a healthy friendship looks like and how we can be a good friend.
In spellings the children will be learning about the suffixes ‘ness’ and ‘ful’ and how to add these to the root words. Please help your child to learn the following words wishful, hopeful, forgetful, beautiful, fairness, loneliness, happiness and foolishness. Please also help your child to learn the 8 times tables and don’t forget to listen to your child read regularly and sign their reading records.
Thank you for your support.
