We have been researching lots of different dinosaurs and comparing and contrasting them due to whether they are carnivores, herbivores or even omnivores! We have been looking closely at fossils and have begun recording words to describe a dinosaurs’ appearance and how they move.
We have been learning about a new dinosaur each day of the week. If you would like to find out more about dinosaurs at home, please follow the link to the dinosaur directory:
We will begin to write our very own fact files next week!
We have begun learning about split digraphs. This weeks we will be looking at the sounds e_e (these) i_e (like) o_e (bone) and u_e (June).
We will continue to build on our segmenting and blending skills by learning to read real and alien words containing split digraphs.
We will continue our learning on subtraction. We will be using our Number Bond knowledge as well as number lines to help us.
We will be looking closely at sorting and classifying animals into whether they are birds, fish, invertebrates, amphibians, reptiles and mammals.
We are discussing who is in God’s family, how we meet God’s love in his family. We will also be talking about what we do in God’s family and at Church.
We will be continue to follow Kester’s Adventures and learn that we are all ‘hand-made’ with love by God.
We will be sharing our ideas on ways we can keep physically and emotionally safe at school and at home.
