Year 6 Weekly Update

In Maths this week, we have had fun investigating pentominoes. We learnt that they are 2D shapes which have 5 squares connected together with no gaps. We were challenged to draw the 12 possible pentominoes and we shared our answers as a class. Then we had to cut out our own pentominoes and arrange them on a rectangular grid with no gaps. A lot of us struggled with this because there were many possible ways of completing the challenge, but well done to Kevin (6SY) and Aaron (6S) who were the first people to complete it! It was a great lesson on using our perseverance and growth mindset skills.
