In Year 3 the children have been learning about the Stone Age. We researched Stone Age tools, then designed and created our own Stone Age tools. We had to use only materials which would have been around in the Stone Age to make them. It made us appreciate how hard it was without the tools and materials which we have today!
We looked at the cave paintings in the Lascaux caves in France and examined the colours, shapes and lines used to create the paintings. We tried our best to imitate these both in content, and in design.
