Autumn Term 1
D&T – As part of our Street Detectives scheme of work, the children learned about our local high street. They then planned, created and evaluated their own addition to the high street e.g. hotel, church, restaurant etc.
Autumn Term 2
Art – The children have been learning about their senses through the poem ‘Winter Eyes’ By Douglas Florian they took inspiration from this poem which helped them to create wonderful winter art, using combined media e.g. pastel, charcoal, pen, paint and pencil. The children were exposed to art specific vocabulary when creating each piece of work during this unit (composition, abstract, observation and creativity).
