We have had another great week of learning in year 5! The children have been:
Multiplying and dividing by 10, 100, and 1000 in Maths. They have also looked at prime, squared and cube numbers.
Learning about Sarai and Abraham in RE and reading about the Exodus
Role playing being patients and doctors in medieval times and using some to the key (gory) vocabulary to match, such as pustules, boils, buboes, fumigate etc. We will be using these words in our diary entries next week.
In Reading lessons, we have been looking at the genre of horror and ghost stories.
In spellings, we have been learning hyphenated words. The words to learn at home are:
- retell
- re-emerge
- re-enter
- reinvent
- reignite
- re-energise
- co-operate
- co-own
- co-ordinate
