English This week, as part of our Black History Month focus, we looked at the inspirational writer and poet ‘Maya Angelou’. The children studied the poem ‘And Still I Rise’ and wrote their own poems in the same style. We focused on the powerful message of the poem and reflected carefully on how we would feel if we were in her shoes.
