Last week in Year 3 we had a wonderful visit from Zoolab. The children met a tarantula, a corn snake, a Madagascan hissing cockroach and a giant African land snail. The children then wrote recounts of our animal visit. We have also been looking at different habitats where you might find predators and comparing the tundra and the desert. In Maths the children have begun our topic of adding and subtracting by learning to mentally add and subtract a one digit number to/from a 3 digit number.
This week for spellings we are looking at the prefixes un and dis. For home learning please help your child to learn the attached words and how to use them in a sentence. Please also make sure you listen to your child read and write in their reading records. Finally, please help your child continue to learn their 3 times table.
Thank you for your support and for all the predator books you have sent in. We look forward to using these for research later on this week.
