A very big Thank You to all those who helped with the St. Catherine’s Christmas Fayre on the 1st December!
A small army of helpers got raffle prizes and advertisers; secured items for the auction and Treebola; ticketed bottles and chocolates; moved boxes and furniture; baked and cooked; and set up / put away all the stalls, Santa’s Grotto and Elves’ Bookshop… There are a million jobs to do to make these events work, and we are so lucky to have such a supportive school community.
Our wonderful Year 6 students did a great job at the Elves’ Bookshop and the Family Gift Stall – well done to them all!
Thanks also to the school staff, who supported and assisted all the setting up and running of the Fayre. Without your help none of it would be possible…
Biggest thanks to everyone who came to the Fayre and supported the school fundraising. It felt like a really celebratory occasion and the children all seemed to have a good time.
In terms of the final figures, the latest figures are that the Christmas Fayre raised £9,972! This is dependent on matched funding and the silent auction bid commitments that have been made, but it is truly amazing!
If you have made a pledge for matched funding or your bid won one of the auction lots, please do follow through on that so that we can realise this wonderful final total.
It’s not too late to apply for matched funding if this is a scheme that your workplace operates. Please speak to your employer to see if this is something that they would consider for our Christmas Fayre. Matched funding is a scheme where an organisation matches the funding raised by an employee for charity. It’s a great way for us to make our on-the-day fundraising go so much further. If you’re not sure what matched funding is or you know that your employer will match funding from the Christmas Fayre, please email email@example.com for more information.
Happy Christmas to everyone!
