Year 5 children greatly enjoyed designing their charters. The children are so imaginative and creative and by designing the charter themselves it gives real meaning to the purpose of having a class charter.
Over the coming two weeks the children will be watching the World’s Largest Lesson which introduces the Sustainable Development Goals.
There are 17 Global Goals. If you have the opportunity watch this with your child.
In September 2015, 193 Global Leaders agreed on 17 Sustainable Development Goals. These Global Goals are focused on ending extreme poverty, fighting inequality and tackling climate change all by 2030. This plan will only be achieved if everyone takes part, especially children, which is why the World’s Largest Lesson aims to educate children and young people all over the world on the Global Goals. Please see the attachment with this week’s newsletter and share some of the activities together at home.
