KS2 Sports Day is on Monday 3rd July and will be held on The Totteridge Academy’s (TTA) playing fields. We will begin promptly at 09:30am and will leave school at 8:50am. We ask that you get your child to school at 8:40am. The teachers will meet their classes to do the register in the playground. The children do not require their book bags, their packed lunches can be put straight onto the trollies when they arrive. The Sports day will finish at 12:00pm and the children will be back in school for 12:30pm.
Each class needs 3 volunteers to help walk the children to TTA. You will be required to meet the children in the playground at 8:40am and remain with them until they are safely on the field at TTA. If you are available to help your child’s class walk, please complete the reply slip below.
What to do if you’re late to school
If you are late and your child’s class has already started walking, we request that you take your child to TTA and wait for your child’s class to arrive. We will not accept children being dropped off on route.
TTA is happy to welcome you, however, as I’m sure you will appreciate it is vital that we comply with their safeguarding procedures. We ask that you sign in as you enter the site from 9am. TTA has kindly offered us the use of their parent’s car park which is by the King George Playing Field’s on Barnet Lane. The entrance to the car park has a green barrier around it and is situated between the road hump and the stables; no one will be able to park in the car park situated on the school site. You will need to enter the school grounds via the pedestrian gate. Marshalls will direct you from there.
The staff will supervise the children going to the toilets. We ask that parents do not take any children as this may put you in a vulnerable position. There are toilets for the adults near the main reception, please ask a member of our staff and we will direct you to these.
What the children will need
All children will be required to wear their full PE kit on the day. We invite each child to bring one piece of fruit to have as a snack and enough water to keep them hydrated. If it is a hot day, please ensure your child is wearing a sunhat and sun cream. If you have any questions, please see your child’s class teacher.
