Year 2 – Visit Barnet Museum

On Wednesday Year 2 had an interesting morning looking at a range of artefacts from the past. The children saw a German bomb shell, old wooden desk and ‘Minnie Mouse’ Gas Mask as well as lots more. Following on from a short introduction, in class, to the War of the Roses and Battle of Barnet the children asked some interesting questions. There was also a mouse hunt (paper ones not real ones!) to see who could find the greatest number of mice – this encouraged the children to look carefully at all the objects in case they missed a mouse. The children were very excited to share what they had found with their peers.
